Raid My Wardrobe-pre loved fashion sale

The Raid my Wardrobe event was a very successful venture.Our friend and client Rachel Prest came to us a while back wanting us to design a logo for her new secret event.It was to enable her clients to hire tables and sell pre loved designer clothes.I decided to shoot Rachel in silhouette wearing bathers and use her as the model for the logo.She told me what clothes she wanted to be wearing. Yes she was very particular with the style and lines of the garments. We decided to put up a stand of some our work and we donated several photo shoots as door prizes.

I must say that the Que went for ages prior to the 10am start time.They had 1300 shoppers in 4 hours, the first 2 hours were frantic.

Here Rachel and Maree Nichols our studio manager draw the winner of our major competition, a photo shoot which included a framed collage print,the prize was valued at $599.

Thanks to all who helped and congratulations to Rachel, her husband Grant and her staff. It was a great first event, we hope to see it grow. We look forward to being involved in the next one....Save your money shoppers !!!

Little Lights-Big Results

The second Little Lights-Big Results workshop went off really well with the strobes and gels rarely getting cool. Amy our subject was fantastic and her red hair produced great images for the participants.

Below Maree is holding a magenta gelled strobe to light Amy from camera right whilst the brolly is wearing 1.5 CTO gels to compensate for the tungsten in-camera WB.The backdrop is lit with bare strobes...hence the blue cast.SB600 camera right and left, SB26 on background camera right and left.
