Portraits with an A+ for Chemistry
WE photographed this couple for a romantic portrait session the other day.I must say that some couples we capture totally have the chemistry happening. Linden & Daniels fall into this category....

We don't shoot many weddings most are come by word of mouth,or by viewing our images in print, certainly not by price. We were lucky enough to capture the wedding of Sydney Couple Meredith & Sam up in the Hunter Valley Wine Country...There was lots of love and laughs during the day, they were so relaxed it was a delight.

Being wine buffs they were very keen to get into the vines..

Now two folk that had a different sort of chemistry were these two charming fellows from Exclusive Vintage Wedding Cars
I didn't get their names ( does anyone know them?) but they were absolute champions for the wedding party on the day.The best Ive seen at weddings so far, polite, helpful, thoughtful etc

They were also our third photographers...

They have certainly lifted the game for other car hire operators in my eyes.

Bottles of cold water, tables and chairs, wine strawberries...and great manners...well done chaps.

Our 2012 photography and lighting course guide is being put together by maree as we speak. (maree@ricwoods.com) Keep an eye out for it on the links on the r/h side of the blog.We re going away with a group of photographers in 2 weekends on the "Create & Escape" photographic weekend. I am so looking forward to hanging out with a creative group that have a passion for photography.....I was told to "find something that you love ...and get someone to pay you to do it"....for me that is photography and teaching people about photography...ric

WOOLWORTHS knows a good face....or TWO !
We discovered in the WOOLWORTHS on line "back to school" catalogue 2 very familiar little boys rolling over in the title giff image.

I tried to train them as our second and third photographers so we could enjoy the fantastic food...but my gear was a little too heavy..
I must say though they were composing shots better than some of the images I've seen in some recent wedding portfolios. Maybe when they grow up a little?
(above) Simone unleashes the passion. We shoot weddings in the course ofour studio commissions but we are selective. We generally agree to shoot for clients that we know....many come by way of referral which is a FANTASTIC testimonial...we generally tell clients that we may not be the best studio for them if they are buying on price as THE priority. There are many many folk shooting a full wedding and then spending a day for editing for very little money....Not the way to buy a new camera body OR pay the insurances.

There was a great deal of LOVE at this wedding...
